We are now well into the season of Lent; a time of reflection as we focus on the last weeks of our Lord Jesus’ time on earth. I also think it’s a good time to look at ourselves, spiritually, mentally and emotionally. We are very busy people which often leaves us with little time to reflect on the lives we lead and our lifestyle. Are we happy and content or are we continually striving for ‘better’ things? Do we feel that there is something missing from our lives? A gap that needs to be filled? If it is the latter, Jesus is the answer.
Knowing Jesus gives us a peace that nothing else can. A firm assurance that whatever we face in life, He is right there beside us, showering us with blessings that help us through tough times.
As we approach Easter, we once again remember the brutal treatment of our Lord and His unbelievably horrific death. And it’s right we do this because it was for our sake. He took the sin of the world, our sin, onto Himself.
But the most important part of Easter is Sunday, when Jesus rose from the dead. He has conquered death spiritually and if we truly believe in Him, we will one day meet with Our Father God in heaven. What a glorious day that will be.
Jesus said, ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me.’ John 14:6
Have a blessed Easter.
